Congratulation as your are August 2010 AFABW Featured Artist.
I am fortunate as a Universal Unity Truth Student to be exposed to many religions teachings which includes the Buddhists Monks disciplines.
As a founding member at our previous “Unity on the Mountain Retreat Center” in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada I was privileged to attend a Mandala Art Session. Several Monks took turns with bowls of colored grains of sand which were being blown through straws to methodically construct that mystic Mandala. We sat for three hours after those three hours we were amazed, flabbergasted and astonished to see the image on the table. We listened to the Monks’ voices as the most harmonious sounds come through their vocal chords. The most meaningful purpose drive Silent Retreat. After all their three hours of tedious work the mandala was immediately methodically disassembled for another ceremonious vigil. I understood the meaning of Silence and Patience in 2007.
