October 14, 2007 – Hollywood: Artists For A Better World International wrapped up its seventh annual Arts Festival today, once again held at Celebrity Centre International. The weekend celebration of art, education, concerts, dance, awards and networking included celebrities and industry professionals sharing their experiences with attendees seeking to expand their careers in the arts.

Fine Art exhibits were on display in and around the Garden Pavilion and included juried awards and attendee voting for popular favorite artworks. Art activities for kids of all ages were featured as part of the “Kids Creative Corner,” including face painting.

Saturday included the largest festival event, and has been held every year since the inception of the AFABW Arts Festival: The AFABW Int Awards Event & Concert, honoring community-minded artists whose accomplishments have positively impacted society. The concert included music, singing and dance, and of course the AFABW Int annual Awards punctuated the parade of “better world” performances.

Also on Saturday, international celebrity vocal coach, Jeannie Deva, presented her highly interactive “Vocal Breakthroughs Workshop.” Through her unique exercises, song-coaching tools and insightful information, Ms. Deva addressed the 10 primary elements that hold back a singer’s freedom, reduce power, and create strain and can result in vocal blow-out.

Saturday also featured the “Spirit of Humanity” Live Poetry Reading, Produced by, Tracy Repchuk. Ms. Repchuk is also the Chief Editor of the AFABW Int Spirit of Humanity poetry anthology. The event centered around poetry readings, including readings from the newly released AFABW Int poetry book. This was indeed an experience of “Poets painting pictures with words.”

Sunday’s activities included “How To Write A Hit Song” seminar, featuring Emmy Award-Winning Film & TV Composer, Geoff Levin.

“Understanding The Film Business & How You Fit In As A Writer” seminar was also on Sunday. This was conducted by Award-Winning Producer and Director, Eric Sherman, and the event was produced by Celebrity Centre International Professional Writers Association.

Sunday’s “Variety Showcase” was a festival of live art in itself, with performances of music, dance, and plenty of passioned singing. The event was produced by platinum recording artist, Harriet Schock.

Professional advertising and fine art photographer, David McCullough, produced and presented the “Visual Artists Seminar” which emphasized a practical approach to being more creative.

By uplifting the culture through aesthetics, by raising the awareness of artists and others about the power the artist has in forwarding social betterment and by working with and supporting community service activities, AFABW Int and its members are making and inspiring positive changes in society.
