Celebrating the Close of the 2026 Mail Art Call
April 18, 2026 – Los Angeles: Artists For A Better World International (AFABW Int) is pleased to announce the successful finale of our 2026 Global Call for Mail Art. Spanning nearly a year – from May 2025 through April 2026 – this campaign has once again proven that creativity knows no borders, bringing together a stunning array of voices from every continent.
This year’s theme, “Unity,” served as a powerful reminder that art is a universal language capable of bridging any divide. Coinciding with the international celebration of World Art Day, the project challenged artists to explore how creative expression can foster genuine connection in an increasingly fragmented world.
The results were nothing short of spectacular. Our mailbox overflowed with everything from delicate watercolors and bold graphic envelopes to complex, thought-provoking mixed-media collages.
“Surpassing our 25th year of global engagement with artists makes this milestone even more meaningful,” noted AFABW Int founder Jeannette Hay.
President George Alger added, “In a digital-first era, there is something deeply moving about the physical journey these artworks take. This collection isn’t just art; it’s a global conversation.”
