2027 Global Call for Mail Art
May 31, 2026 – Los Angeles: Artists for A Better World International is calling upon worldwide artists to send their Mail Art to AFABW Int by April 15, 2027 (World Art Day). The theme for the 2027 Mail Art project is “Igniting the Human Spirit,” due to the ability of art and artists to awaken passion, purpose, and courage in others.
This year’s theme is a direct celebration of the profound capacity of art and artists to serve as catalysts for the human soul. Art is never passive; it is a dynamic force that possesses the unique power to awaken passion, instill deep purpose, and summon courage in others. When an artist shares their vision, they do more than display talent—they light a spark that can pierce through uncertainty, elevate communities, and inspire lasting, positive change.
Through the unique, borderless medium of mail art, each piece becomes a literal vessel of inspiration. As these miniature inspirations travel through the postal system and across nations, they carry a collective message of resilience and empowerment. We invite artists from all walks of life and every corner of the globe to lend their creative voices to this international project. Use your canvas to ignite hope, fuel determination, and remind the world of the strength, beauty, and unlimited potential inherent in the human spirit.
Selected Mail Art submissions will be featured on the AFABW Int website as well as on the weekly cable television series, Our Ventura TV, and social media channels.
There’s no cost to participate.
Create and have fun.

Media commonly used in Mail Art includes postcards, paper, rubber stamps, artist-created stamps (called artistamps), photography, sketches, markers, pastels and paint, or anything that can be put on a postcard or in an envelope and sent via global postal services, such as a collage of recycled images and objects. (See “Archives” below for examples).
Mail art is considered complete once it is sent.
