Alexis! A Modern American Tragedy
May 6, 2001 – Hollywood: Alexis!, a modern American Tragedy performed at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International Theatre in Hollywood from April 20th to May 6th, 2001. Tom Waters wrote, directed and performed in the play with a total of 6 cast members.
The play brilliantly and emotionally depicted the resultant contagion of aberration within a family ruled and corrupted by a mother, who as a professional industrial psychologist, mentally prodded and poisoned all in her midst with ruthless, calculated, malevolent intent.
Alexis! is as much a social comment upon the evil of “professional” psychology as it is a symbolic representation of the irrepressible spirit of man yearning forever to be free, in spite of the painful insanity pervasive within the most intimate manner of proximity.
