Artists Networking Night Reception

October 18, 2002 – Hollywood: The AFABW Int 2nd Annual Arts Festival featured a networking of artists in the theatre at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International.

The evening opened with the “Star-Spangled Banner,” sung by Jeannie Deva. Afterwards the audience was entertained and inspired from Artists For a Better World art associations that included the Visual Artists Association, Kids on Stage for a Better World, the Performing Artists Association, Creative Artists Forum for Expansion and the Renaissance Speakers.

The evening’s message was summated by AFABW Int President, George Alger, with a speech entitled “Get Connected.” Mr. Alger said, “There is more power within a group. And artists of all religions, nationalities, creeds, races and cultures can benefit by joining with a community of artists united to positively influence the world.”

Visual Arts Reception

After the briefings, the inspired crowd retired to the Visual Arts tent for a networking reception and to view the photography, sculpture, paintings and other fine arts on display as part of the Arts Festival.

The message throughout the evening was plain and clear that one of the vital elements that help an artist to become successful is to connect up to a winning group. All these groups apply the management and administrative methods of philosopher and humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard.

Success: “I wasn’t doing anything as an artist for several years. I then joined Celebrity Centre’s Visual Artists Association and immediately started painting again. I then got involved with community activities that the group was working on, and starting getting some paid work – including the Community of Angels project.” LS
