October 9, 2010 – Hollywood: Eric Sherman delivered his workshop, “How to Create a Screenplay or Novel that Sells,” as part of the Artists For A Better World International 10th annual arts festival. Eric is an award winning producer and director and consultant to Universal Studios, Columbia Pictures and Paramount.
As part of the seminar, Eric revealed a number of the behind-the-scenes realities about the movie industry, particularly as it relates to screenwriters getting their work considered and the common barriers preventing that from occurring.
More importantly, Eric went over effective ways for all writers to overcome the barriers of gaining attention for their work, as well as the 6 items to integrate within storytelling to increase the opportunities for commercial success.
By uplifting the culture through aesthetics, by raising the awareness of artists and others about the power the artist has in forwarding social betterment and by working with and supporting community service activities, AFABW Int and its members are making and inspiring positive changes in society.
