“Family Fun Day” at the Arts Festival
October 19, 2002 – Hollywood: The Artists For A Better World 2nd Annual Arts Festival’s “Family Fun Day” at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International was a joyful extravaganza of enchantment and entertainment.
This day of activities, produced by singer/songwriter and long time Scientologist, Tom Fair, was a hit for children and adults of all ages.
Visual artists displayed their works throughout the grounds while painting new work. New and experienced artists of all ages participated in the Life Drawing event featuring live models.
On the grounds booths were set up where kids could do sculpting and drawing, as well as have their faces painted.
The Garden Pavilion was host to a feast of music and dance all day long, with various performers from the community uplifting audiences with their talent. “Kids on Stage for a Better World” were one of the featured performances.
There were also educational workshops for artists, including the Vocal Breakthrough Workshop by Jeannie Deva and a Children’s Acting Class with Helene Kress.
The day was topped with a showcase of emerging artists, where local talent delighted the audience in the theatre.
Tom Fair said, “This was the all-inclusive day of events that appealed to all family members. We even had kids on our staff running communications for the executives, MCing, and selling raffle tickets! The family is the backbone of civilization.”
