Poetry Wanted!
March 5, 2004 – Hollywood: Last year over 25 poems from around the world were presented in a limited production poetry volume, Bamboo Souls, which was displayed during Peace Week in Cairns, Australia and at the Artists For A Better World International (AFABW Int) Arts Festival in Hollywood, California.
Due to the fantastic audience response, this book is expanding to include more poets and will then be made broadly available for sale via the Artists For A Better World International website as a softcover AFABW Int poetry for peace anthology.
There are no costs to submit your poetry. Proceeds from future book sales, above and beyond the printing and production costs, will benefit AFABW Int.
Copyright of your poems remains with you even if your poetry is accepted for publication.
Please mail or email no more than three poems to Artists For A Better World Int Poetry Coordinator in Australia, Diane Andrews, by April 14th, 2004. If your poetry is accepted, you may also have your contact details and a small biography published in the book if you like.
Send your poems and contact information right away and be sure to include in your correspondence the words, “If any of my poems are accepted for publication, I grant Artists For A Better World the rights to publish them.”
Your poetry should relate to a theme of peace, tranquility or harmony.
Deadline is April 14th, 2004!
