AFABW Int 1st Annual Arts Festival
September 23, 2001 – Hollywood: Eight days of visual arts, performing arts, family fun, education, entertainment, celebration and pure aesthetics concluded today as the first annual Artists For A Better World International “Joy of Creating” arts festival drew to an enchanting close.
Throughout the period, musicians and singers performed, plays were presented, art exhibitions were on display and ongoing workshops were held by and for artists of all disciplines.
Operation Help was featured throughout the past eight days to honor the first responders of 9/11. Hundreds of positive and inspirational cards were created by young and old alike. The cards were handmade with pencils, crayons, paints and individual caring marked with messages written in English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
The incredible experience of over three dozen events and hundreds of participating artists was completed with the grand finale, the “Patron of the Arts Awards Event,” which honored outstanding artists and supporters.
This was one week of pure aesthetics.
